When does $1.25 = 45 cents?
With Employment Insurance, Canada Pension Plan, and Provincial WSIB premiums, it can cost you almost $1.25 to give an employee $1.00 in pay. That employee in turn pays Income tax, EI, and CPP and could end up with as little as 45 cents to take home.

Even if you already have other disability coverage, you may end up with nothing after paying the expenses necessary to remain in business for just a short period of time.
The Business Overhead Coverage will pay you up to $2,000/mth in business overhead expenses for up to an 18 month period. This benefit is payable in addition to whatever disability benefits you receive because of lost income.
